With MASSIVE THANKS to the kindness of Andy and Al,we now have a sub section devoted to "the junior tv times" that ran between 1971 -1994.
I wrote to Andy to request this for the sheer reason,as I explained, despite many articles, groups etc on the internet about this publication,so much of the information given about the comic strips are incorrect or incomplete.
Look -In was created by the same chap that created TV21,and Alan Leslie Fennell was therefore a safe pair of hands.
The magazine was heavily publicised by a television advert and commenced with fantastic free gifts such as a cut out studios and start wheels;later bionic eyes.Sounds crazy right????You had to be there!!!!
I have an (almost) complete collection of Look-In from 71-81.
I have little interest after this as it changed so much but if you loved it in later years, all power to you !!!
We cannot all like the same things.Saying that I did like what I saw of the "Magnum" and Robin of Sherwood" strips.
Anyhow:The magazine/comic featured strips based mainly on ITV shows.
Timeslip,The Tomorrow People;Doctor At Large;Buck Rodgers;Bionic Woman etc.
And please feel free to correct me but I have found no correct complete list of most strips featured;with some exceptions.
So:Over the next few weeks I will be presenting correct information on the strips featured in Look-Ins' first decade.
Ask any questions.I will give you correct information to the best of my ability.

Re: Look Out For Look -In !!!!
Fantastic seeing that something on this site has been set up for Look-In.
In a recent conversation with a collector, he and I agreed that Look-In has for too long never received the recognition it deserved and been subjected to much snobbery among critics and collectors. Terrible to think of when, especially during the 70s, it had so many quality artists.
What also makes reading and collecting it so good in its heyday up to 1981, was how well it had its finger on the pulse of the time it was published: I also enjoy reading the articles and features on the pop stars of the time, taking in the likes of Glam and New Wave along the ways, and on Tv programs and sport, especially football before money truly corrupted the game.
The listings of things of interest in the different ITV regions - were so many regional variations all over the ITV network - also helps encapture the time and makes fascinating reading and made me go and seek out what those shows listed that I'd never heard of were.
I did start buying Look-In regular from 1981 to 1984, but sadly by then its best days were passed, as the great artwork on the covers were replaced with photos, and it became too swamped with pop star pics, becoming like a version of smash hits. The departures and retirement of so many of its key artists also worsened matters. I sold most of these off to clear space, but found very few interested buyers, as they wanted the earlier editions.
One dealer at a comic fair tried to offer me and another collector some 1987 editions he had, but we both declined, knowing that its quality had deteriorated so much by then (and the standard of pop chart music was dire in 87).
Thanks for getting things set up and for all the info on Look-in here now and coming up.
