The Broons

Post by ruscott »

Hello Everyone, this is my first post.

I'm currently working in a small team in DC Thomson on a project for the Broons. I can't say much about it yet :shhh: but I am looking for people connected to the comic book industry; bloggers, tweeters, fans etc who might be interested in a few exclusive bits and pieces in exchange for spreading the word a bit. So if you are up for it and want added to my list, you can email me at ruscott [at] dcthomson [dot] co [dot] uk

Alternatively if anyone has any contacts that they think might be interested in a bit of Broons news, let me know.

WATCH THIS SPACE!!

Russell

PS, sorry if this is posted in the wrong place!

Hello STARBOY,

Thanks for that! I've been doing a fairly comprehensive crawl of the internet to find any uk comic sites I can. Starting to build a nice list of interested people. I'm really excited about this piece of work, and I want to build a great buzz about it and let people know because I think it's going to be great!

Also...

Have any of you joined the official facebook groups?

There should be more coming from these in the future....

Will it be a book looking at the childhood of Grandpa Broon then moving on to his exploits in world War One followed by courtship and marriage to Grandma Broon who has never been seen? My ex wife had no interest in comics but she became an avid reader of the Broons books after marrying me. To her it was like a soap opera.

Morning Steve,

I'm afraid your way off the mark there, but unfortunately I can't reveal any more details at the moment. Thanks for your continued interest.

One more go - Stephen Speilberg is to make The Broons: The Movie with Nicholas Lindhurst as Hen Broon. Other cast suggestions welcome.

Scarlett Johansson as Maggie. Lorraine Kelly as Daphne. Ramona Marquez as the Bairn. David Jason as Grandpaw. Elaine C Smith as Maw and Gregor Fisher as Paw, but with a bucket load of CGI for Gregor!

Ewan McGregor might get away with Joe, but he could be a bit old by now. Thomas "Are you my Mummy?" Sangster for the twins. And possibly Daniel Radcliffe for Horace?

Over to everyone else to pick my choices apart!

Lorraine Kelly isn't an actress, but at least she has the right accent! :)

Lorraine Kelly is quite attractive. To me anyway. Joe Brand should play Daphne.
