Looking for Bash Street/Beano story

Post by brad1701 »

Hello,

I'm looking for a specific story--involving Fatty getting sent to a weight loss camp. Would anyone know what issue or annual that might have been in?

Thanks!

Hi Brad,
I think, giving Bash Streets' 66 year history , you'll have to be a bit more specific than that!

Well... hmmmm... I know it was an annual. Not later than 1993, and I don't believe it was in colour.

I would have thought all Bash Street Kids stories were in colour especially in annuals. The only exception would be that big Dennis the Menace Fun Book which was all black and white and issued around that time. Maybe that's where you saw it.

I feel like that was part of a story called Bash Street Academy but I could be wrong? It inspired the Beano Video All Stars segment of the same name. Not sure when the printed version of the story came out, wish I did, it would be nice to re-read it.

The episodes in question are from the Bash Street Kids 40th anniversary story arc, first appearing in issues 2690 (dated w/e 5/2/1994), No. 2691 (w/e 12/2/1994) and No. 2692 (w/e 19/2/1994)

No. 2692 also included a BSK pin badge.
