Mini Dandy comics in the cereals

Post by TwoHeadedBoy »

Anyone remember sometime in the early 1990s when one of the breakfast cereals (Rice Krispies? Frosties?) would have a miniature-sized Dandy as a free gift?

As in, an actual Dandy but smaller than a credit card? I remember people bringing them into school but never got one myself for some reason.

Yes, I've got some somewhere, but I've no idea where.

These have been discussed before, it was a set of six wasn't it, three Dandys and three Beanos? Time for a search...

Yep, here we are. http://comicsuk.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3067

Cheers for that... They really ARE tiny!

And them being in Golden Grahams would explain why we never got any - comparitively expensive cereal that we'd tried before and hated, as if the parents would "waste" money in that way

Must've been 1991 or 1992 then, thinking back I'd just started at a different primary school when people were reading them.

If you read to the end of the other thread, it does confirm that they were from 1992.
