was look-in part of the 2000ad/rebellion fleetway purchase.? I remember much better stories in look-in as a kid but saying that i may buy the beetles. defo looking forward to 13th floor but will it just be the 15 scream episodes or the eagle run as well ? I know Dan Dare corp own eagle stuff but its not like they are ever gonna reprint the stories.

Brilliant news! Great to see Jinty and Tammy getting reprints and also three volumes of Charley's War. The third volume of Misty with Wolf Girl is also very welcome! I wonder what other stories will be in there with it?

As I mentioned the other week when I previewed The Beatles Story on my blog, the rights are owned by the creators of the strip.

Look-in is not part of Rebellion's purchase, as it was never owned by Egmont. The rights of the strips in Look-in would be very complicated anyway, as any publisher would have to negotiate with each TV company that owned the rights to the programmes the strips were based on.

I'd imagine Rebellion will include the 13th Floor stories from Eagle as well as it started out in Scream. It'll be a similar situation to Lion and Thunder, where Rebellion don't own Lion, but they own the Thunder stories.

I'm guessing it may be a selection of the many complete stories that appeared in the comic.

Will there be a market for already reprinted Charley's War? Maybe telephone directory ones. Not so sure about expensive hardbacks, given they already exist.

As stated above, they're paperbacks. Quite thick at £20 (cheaper on Amazon) sounds reasonable to me.

Intrigued by the 13th Floor. I remember reading part of it reprinted in the early nineties Eagle monthly (?) where I also had my first taste of Charley's War. I remember it being a very interesting and transgressive story but I never read the whole thing.
Is it weird to have no interest in keeping or collecting free gifts?

(BTW, I am aware that it was already reprinted by Hibernia but I never got round to buying it.)

It's quite a varied selection and lets face it, it's been years since British comic fans have had this good. Surprised though that there is nothing front Action comic or Roy of the Rovers

Yes, I would have expected books for Dredger or Blackjack. Perhaps next year.

Looks really good, great to see so much variety coming out, I take it what they've released so far is selling satisfactorily enough for them to release so much.

I am primarily interested in the girl's comic stuff So Jinty, Misty and Bella but I'd also like to check out the 13th Floor (after reading it in the Scream/Misty special). Charley's War is also a book I've never read but heard much about - I'm sure there will be a market for it, even if there are hardbooks already available.

Charlet's War is good - I've read some of it but we stalled on buying the hardback glossy reprints. If the newer editions are nice and thick and not too dear then we might get ourselves a complete run for this household via that.

Also I am thinking that I will buy some of the Treasury items for my kids' school library, to give other kids a chance to enjoy them too.
jintycomic.wordpress.com/ Excellent and weird stories from the past - with amazing art to boot.

This new Charley's War is the whole run in 3 volumes so that is significantly cheaper than the last time where it was 10 or 11 volumes and each was about £15.

Personally, I am quite interested in Von Hoffman's Invasion and El Mestizo. I would love to get them all but I just have to stick with what I can afford.
I started to say something sensible but my parents took over my brain!

I would suggest, Jenni, that you raise your generous offer with both the head and the librarian before shelling out any of your hard-earned, as it is perfectly possible that one of them, or indeed both, may not consider the books to be appropriate reading material for their pupils.
