A selection of sixties comics including two copies of Hurricane no. 1. My maximum bid was £50 but they sold for £51.

My max was £41...

Hurricane #1 is pretty much a £20-25 comic so i think the seller has done well there, also considering theres zero guarantee of either of them being complete.

It did say there many be missing pages. They were being sold by a charity so the comics weren't checked thoroughly.

I agree. I saw them and decided to give them a miss as I've had to return too many comics recently due to inaccurate descriptions.

It really does seem to be endemic at the moment, I even had to get a refund on that Sparky #500.

If anyone's looking to fill gaps in very early Busters, Daryl's listed a load. Some difficult issues to find, not cheap start prices but might be a while before they show up again.

Daryl, who trades under Silver Acre Comics, has a nice selection of Buster comics from its tabloid days from No2 in June 1960 until it became a more standard sized title in late 1965. The starting bids range from £29.99 down to £9.99 depending on the year and condition.

He's also listed all the sixties Xmas issues.

Great selection tbh, one of the best chances I've ever seen to fill in gaps if anyone's collecting the run.

I'd love the full broadsheet Buster run... Easily my fav ever British comic.

Nice to see the Guy Fawkes mask. The other gifts do turn up but that's the first time I've seen the mask.

Tempted now...

I've got the original version of the Guy Fawkes mask from Buster dated 5th Nov 1960. It's in pristine condition as is the original comic it came in. A real feast for the eyes.
