Finally reached my goal of collecting the entire original run of Scream comics & holiday specials, he says with a sigh of relief. Although I recently sourced a copy it was sadly damaged, but a few days ago sourced yet another Scream Spinechillers Holiday Special 1989 , but this time in Nr mint condition.

Thanks Adam Eterno. Yeah, having searched for ages to get a copy that was damage thought I'd never see another for sale until four days ago. So happy.Adam Eterno wrote: 06 Jul 2024, 15:23What a great set and that Spinechillers issue is a tough one to get in good condition. As a fan of paranormal TV shows I think I can say with confidence ghosts do not appear as bedsheets with two eye-holes.

In the seventies I bought all of the Charlton and DC horror anthology comics as well as the Skywald and Warren Black and White magazines. I sold the DC and Warrens but always had a soft spot for Charlton and Skykwald being 'underdogs'.

Sounded like you amassed a nice horror comic collection in the 70s there stevezodiac. Been seriously thinking myself about starting to collect some DC, The Witching Hour comics. They have some superb cover art and the prices are very reasonable too.stevezodiac wrote: 06 Jul 2024, 21:22 In the seventies I bought all of the Charlton and DC horror anthology comics as well as the Skywald and Warren Black and White magazines. Re: What comics did you buy today?
On Friday I got Hotspur 631 (1948).
Today I got volume 1 of The Tomorrow people complete Look-in strips book.
At £51 including delivery,I thought was over priced but decided to get it as I have all the strips other than the 2 unpublished ones which are presented here.
I was wrong to think it was over priced, in reality it is a gigantic beautifully printed very high quality book that totally exceeded all of my expectations. Totally recommended.
What really interested me was that the unprinted pages were found and purchased by Shaqui Le Vesconte who was on a Look in website that I was also a member of many years ago.

Have to check that one out.jim244 wrote: 07 Jul 2024, 03:27I have some Witching Hour mags but my all time favourite horror comic is "The House of Mystery".Into The Abyss wrote: 06 Jul 2024, 22:07stevezodiac wrote: 06 Jul 2024, 21:22 In the seventies I bought all of the Charlton and DC horror anthology comics as well as the Skywald and Warren Black and White magazines. Also, being a fan of horror comics also love the "Hammer Halls of Horror" magazine . I was surprised to see how many American horror magazine were out there too. Besides the iconic "Fangora" & "Famous Monsters mags " there's the "Creepy mag", "Monster World" , "Psycho", Rue Morgue", "Monsterscene" ect... the list is endless.

Nice additions to your collection there jim224. In particular love the "Tomorrow People" Look-in strip book bought. Coincidentally, I've recently seen one for sale featuring the "On the Buses" strips. Been meaning to get one seeing I own 20+ pages of original art.jim244 wrote: 07 Jul 2024, 03:39 On Friday I got Hotspur 631 (1948).
