Yeah, 4 hours. Started at 12pm and finished at 3pm. Had to treat each present with kitten gloves not to damage the annuals.
I had series 1 & 2 of the Fall Guy. And the complete series of Planet of the Apes & Logan's Run. Love those 1970s shows.
Also, I thought I'd mention what annuals I received. Had for Christmas the entire run of 1950s & 1960s Dandy annuals. Condition amazing, especially the laminated annuals. 99.9% have perfect spines, are clean and unclipped.
I had Beano annuals from 1953 to 1959. I only need years 1950 , 51 & 52 to complete that run too. And I was bought the entire run of 1960s Beano annuals and all are in fantastic condition too.
Got also nearly all of the 1970s run of Beano annuals apart from two. And have two Dennis the Menace annuals from 1960 & 66. I will post some images very soon. So watch this space.
That's a lot of annuals !!!!!!!!
BTW: POA and LR are indeed great shows and both DVD sets are great,as you are into these may I recommend (if you don't already have it) "The Fantastic Journey".
Still can't process what I got jim224. Brother must have spent hundreds. Promise to upload some pics soon. Got to buy some collector bags and bins to store them all safely first.
Re dvds: Yeah, loved those series as a kid. Also used to watch The Hardy Boys & Nancy Drew Mysteries too. So cool. And yes I do have Fantastic Journey in my collection. Got about 4000 dvds. It's not have I got it but where have I put it lol.
OMG completely agree,I can't find anything anymore,I need a lotto win to purchase a large house that has a library and then to employ a librarian!!!
Great you have FJ.Just thought I would mention it as it's one of those series that a lot of people aren't aware of but is an absolute gem.
Your Brother must have a very well paid job!!
Anyhow,Happy Christmas !!
Okay, here's a small selection of the annuals mentioned that I received for Christmas yesterday. Apologies for the quality of the images. Anyway, see pics of the two out of three boxes containing the Beano, Dandy and Dennis The Menace books ranging mostly from the 50s, 60s and some from the 1970s.
For the The Beano book showing Little Plum leapfrogging over Dennis the Menace, i have a similar Robert Harrop figurine on my mantlepiece.

Very nice stuff mate.
Thanks Jim244.
Update: Had another, although belated, Christmas gift from my brother which arrived in the post. A 1956 Beano annual. Will upload a pic asap.
Here is. My Beano annual 1956. Ironically I now have two copies of this. The first I had on Christmas day. This one featured went missing so my brother had to buy another. Then today it turned up in the post. Happy days! It's in nice shape too.

I had 18 gaps filled in my Alan Class collection. Leaving my ‘wants’ list lying around with the contact details for 30th Century worked!
Excellent news and I use the same company, brilliant people and experts on Alan Class.

Belated Happy Christmas to everyone. This Christmas I didn't get anything comic related as I didn't spot anything on Ebay that I needed. I did however get some non-comic related presents (some of which were presents to myself!) as follows:
1. 'North By Northwest' 4K (1959) - we watched it last night on my projector, fantastic film.
2. Ingrid Pitt Autograph on a nice photo from 'The Vampire Lovers' (1970)
3. Laurel and Hardy Year Two 1928 blu ray (still in the post) - for which I provided some posters, lobby cards and other still images which the producers used in the booklet, sleeve art and a stills gallery
4. Looney Tunes Vol 4 Collector's Series blu ray (still in the post)
5. 'When Dinosaurs Roamed America' & 'Valley Of The T-Rex' blu ray (upgrade on DVD copy) - still in the post
6. A book titled 'Symbols of Power : Napoleon and the Art of the Empire' - book on Napoleonic antiques and objects - still in the post
7. An antique french clock from around 1820 - to be posted later this week.
I avoided getting most of my presents posted prior to Christmas as I had 3 parcels with damaged contents (2 x Walt Disney Treasures DVD tins dented and even an empty box which was supposed to contain a Walt Disney Treasures DVD sent to me! - all refunded thankfully) in early December so opted to have the rest posted after Christmas instead.
