WHAT IS THE MOST VALUABLE COMIC IN YOUR COLLECTION?

This is a follow up post about Action Comics selling for 15 million dollars.
I just wondered what comic is the most valuable in your personal collections.
Obviously I doubt if any of us have anything of huge value but it remains an interesting question.
Personally: I have certain issues worth a few bob, nothing extreme lol.
Some Marvel UK number 1 issues with free gifts (I think max worth is £100) and some Batman/Detective /Superman/Action Comics early 60s
(similar value).
I have some early Fantastic Four but none would get beyond a CGC grade of 3.5 so probably not worth much.

I'd say for me it's my copy of the promotional copy of Eagle #1. Only 8 pages long, the incorrect date (21st April not 14th April 1950) and missing the Dan Dare masthead.

I have rarer comics but this is probably the most valuable (albeit the audience for Eagle/Dan Dare material is dying off)

I have the Dandy comic No.9 1938, and a Monster Club film promo comic from 1980. Hardly any exist. I've only ever seen three.

Absolutely fantastic item Richard and I would expect of quite some value.
Wait until they make a Dan Dare movie, I understand what you mean about the property of Eagle/ Dan Dare being rather untrendy at the moment ( value of old Eagles has gone down a lot) but I think that will eventually spiral in the opposite direction.
Either way, a lovely piece to have.
Would you consider scanning it here so it could be seen and appreciated by others?

Hey, no probs jim244. Luckily I had some pictures taken. Saves pulling out the tub with all the comics stored in.

Coincidentally, there were two Monster Club magazine/comics. The first one was the original 1980 Cannes film festival promo with a run of 1000 given out by film producer Milton Subotski to promote the 1981 film to would-be investors. I've only ever seen two others on the net. One signed by Milton Subotski, John Carradine & Vincent Price, and the other, for sale in America on a comic website.

And the second. Was a re release of the comic that was limited and numbered to only 100 copies in the world, signed by Dez Skinn, head of Marvel comics UK. I have one of those too.

Probably the later issues of Zit I currently have... especially the issues with the final logo used from Issue 98/99? - Issue 143 (from what I can estimate)

They very rarely pop up on eBay and as a Zit collector myself, you really need to snatch those issues up before they are GONE!
Early to Mid issues of Zit are usually kind of common on when you search up "zit comic", "zit comic uk" or "zit magazine uk" for example... but when it comes to the later ones, VERY rare and uncommon, so much so that I have to ask my mom to like snatch them up for me thanks me not having a job, and I have a few more rare issues on the way from another bundle I found recently

It was probably Daredevil #1 which my mate Terry Smith gave to me around 1970. We used to go around buying comics together in the 1960s. We lost contact when he married and moved away but a few years ago I got off the bus where I live and there he was with his wife and three children visiting his old area. We are now back in touch and, as one of his boys collects comics, I decided to give Terry his Daredevil #1 back to give to his son. I figured we were both just kids in 1970 and I shouldn't have accepted the comic from him. All three of his children play guitar as well as some other instruments. Terry himself paints landscapes. I envy him being a dad. Like me Terry likes his pie and mash and supports Millwall.

Probably issue no. 1 of BUSTER from May 28th 1960. Thankfully as No. 1 comics go it's not as expensive as other 1st issues. It's not so much it's monetary value as the satisfaction I have of owning the very first issue of my favourite comic and remembering back in 1981 collecting a mini pull out version from Buster's 21st birthday issue to a few weeks after. I was gutted when my brother (who bought me my comics each week) decided to buy the Summer Special one week instead instead so I never got to complete the mini comic in 1981. I have since managed to buy a complete 1981 run of Busters with the mini comics still intact also.

I once had issues 26 & 33 of BATMAN (both from the 1940's). I sold both of them on Ebay a few years back.
