A 50p pick up of Avengers Weekly No.8 (1973) that immediately sent me back to being 8 years old again. The first issue was my introduction to Marvel and each issue offered a tantalising glimpse of other comics and characters that I just had to know more about.

Nice purchase Shiner. I have a similar memory whenever I see broadsheet Topper comics for sale on ebay. They remind me when in the early 1980s I visited my school summer fate with my family and buying bundles of comics for 10p each.

A brilliant bargain !!!
I collected the 147 issues of this fine magnificent marvel magazine a while back.
The 3rd ever Marvel UK publication, after MWOM and Spidey.

Just sourced after many moons searching, 37 Fast Forward magazines from 1989-90, in particular, two issues which I finally needed that contained Allo Allo art owned. I finally got them all now!

Check out the forum link to both art & mags: viewtopic.php?t=8076

I bought a reprint book of Leo Baxendale's Mervyn's Monsters from the same guy who did the Power Pack of Ken Reid who used to post on this forum as klakadak-ploobadoof.

Not read it yet, but it looks good. I may put a mini review on here once ive finished it.

That would be Irmantas who lives in Lithuania and has spoilt us for years with high production values. Looking across the room, I have the collected Scream Inn on the shelf and his Beano 1950s volumes.

The Beano volumes were a few years back when he was first testing out the format. 20 hardback books in the set for about a dozen collectors, at cost or thereabouts. Honestly if you ever get the chance do look out for those and other assorted volumes (Corporal Clott, Little Plum, Bash Street Kids, Jonah, etc).

Just sourced a nice Beano annual from 1956 in FN condition, and a snow-capped Beano comic No.352 from 1949 in VG+/FN- cond.
