Same here. I emailed them last week, sent them my address on Saturday, got an email on Wednesday telling me it had been despatched and received it yesterday, and it even had a free gift included! :o

Sadly not the mask mentioned on the front cover, but a Sunday Post magazine!

No sooner had I wondered about trying to get a Sunday Post with free Beano here in Australia, did I get an email from my Aunt in Scotland saying cryptically that she had posted me 'something she thought i would like'... My immediate hope was that it could be the free Beano replica, and I was correct as it arrived a few days later! Haven't had a chance to read it yet, but it looks like fun- I've now got that and the Dandy No.1 (A5) replica so it's a nice addition to my collection.

Just thought I'd share my joy!

After reading about people sending off or emailing the Sunday Post, I thought I would send a letter to them last week seeing if they still had any copies left not thinking they would at this late stage.

Guess what I got in the post this morning a compliment slip from DCT a Sunday Post and A Beano Replica No.1. :D

Thankyou very much Sunday Post you are a star paper.

DCT are a good, reputable company......they were the only firm I used to mail original strips to [never really reccomended] without worrying about never seeing them again.

I haven't contacted them for over a decade, but I remember I got a nice, personal reply from EUAN KERR last time, who still remembered me. [no work offer at that time, unfortunately!]

Here's that advert for the die cast Beano vans complete with Facsimile Beano 1 with free Whoopee mask. Can't think why I never sent off for it.
