Talk here about just about anything associated with British comics or story papers and the industry that does not fit in any other forum.
There are separate fora open to registered members for discussing specific comics, artists, websites etc.

Amazon says it's unavailable.
I bought mine from Forbidden Planet. As they're associated with Titan they tend to have the books first.
Just to clarify: the book is called The Best of Battle, not the Bumper Book of Battle, so that should help people find it. I've reviewed it here with photos and a link where you can to buy it at a discount:

This selller is selling, I find it hard to believe over 1 million have been sold.
Brand new book delivered in the UK in 2-3 days. Over 1 million sold to Amazon customers!
Yeah, I did order it direct from Amazon, I ordered it back on the 5th June 2008!, bit strange they seem to have withdrawn it from sale now, if they were just out of stock you'd presumably still be able to order it, not sure what's going on there, play.com have it up for sale if that helps.

I don't see the Amazon thing as a problem as Forbidden Planet have it currently available for only £7.99.
Got mine delivered today from Amazon. I had a delay on delivery because my order was so old my credit card details had changed in the meantime! I paid £4.99 for mine so I am thrilled with what I have received.
Johnny Red! Hmm, now there's an idea for Father's Day. If it's 128 pages, then that's about 30 to 40 weeks worth of story. I think I've died and gone to heaven...
I started to say something sensible but my parents took over my brain!
I submitted this to Titan a couple of months back, scanned at 1200dpi then reduced to 600dpi to tighten up the linework (to answer a far earlier post). Still no release date, there have been some staff changes at Titan, with a new supervising editor coming on board.
I've also done the first Rat Pack book, am halfway through Best of Land Battle and this morning commenced work on Major Eazy and Charley's War volume 7, which serves me right for complaining about the quality of the scans on the last two books. Darkie's Mob is also on the cards.
Looks like Battle will get a series of anthologies, with many of the major titles being collected in full.
Looks like Action might get some stuff reprinted, although after 34 years Egmont are still reluctant to market the title 'Action' when releasing the strips, so I don't have a fixed schedule on that yet.

It's bloody annoying that the knee-jerk reactions from a few prudish "outraged" types has made publishers over cautious on what they can put in comics. Action was a great comic until the media jumped on it.
Perhaps the media could provide facts and figures on how many comic readers have been arrested for violent misconduct, as opposed to non-comics readers.
A few days ago I received an email from Amazon giving me a revised delivery date for the item I ordered on January 14th 2009, which of course was Roy of the Rovers - The Archives, presumably 1954/55. They didn't mention that but they did put the order number reference in the email. I could check it if I put my mind to it but I doubt whether I'll bother as it is the only item I still have on order with them. I won't hold my breath either, I'll just wait for the parcel. If it comes it comes, and if it does arrive I'll let you know! Hope springs eternal.

I think it's been shelved indefinitely but the World Cup book is out.
