You're spot on. Mis-quoting the Beatles... I am he and he is me - and I'm definitely not an artist. I can't draw a convincing stick man. I'll stick to writing scripts. On the other hand, Ken Harrison is brilliant and can draw anything. I had five years writing Desperate Dan for him and no matter how extreme or absurd the actions in the scripts were, Ken always came up with the goods. I'm loving the work he's doing on Minnie. Brilliant artist, lovely bloke.

That prroduced some good gags though. Alex Fearguson, Simon Cow-Bell? Just one letter added to each, but very effective.

A tabloid wrote something about comics that didn't talk about political correctness going mad and/or unfunny innuendoes about spanking? I didn't even start with "Pow!", somebody's going to be sacked for making too sensible an article

Yeah, this week's Dennis strip showed the changed that have occured since his TV makeover - Walter wouldn't ever have been willing to do the boxing bit even if he was strong enough! But did anyone notice the cameo appearance of Rasher in a picture on the wall in The Numskulls this week?

I enjoyed Billy Whizz this week as well, initially I wasn't too keen on Nick Brennan's version but it's growing on me and the scripts are good at the moment to boot.

Poor old Peeps (Pup Parade)! Bash Street has a "bring your pets to school" day this week, and Toots has a poodle called Missey instead! The only Pup Parade member to appear is an unnamed Blotti, sat on Spotty's head in the final panel.

Good point, I can't see the 'bring back Pup Parade' lot on the Beano website being happy with that!

I enjoyed the Fred Bed's Beatles strip...like the ending..with the older Paul arriving to thank Fred for what he did in the past..

I also noticed the lack of Pup Parade..
