The Highland Valiant has just joined. Due to a rather eccentric manager, the team is committed to playing only Scottish or Egyptian players (besides one Irishman who used to play in Scotland as there aren't enough players).

It's a winning strategy, I tell 'ee!

Anyone else wanting to board the Fantasy Football skylark?

The competition starts this Saturday. Would be nice to get the total up to 10.

And if you don't keep it going throughout the season, it'll give me a chance to beat someone :D

And as for you George Xydas, just how friggin' many teams are there in that other league of yours Iain Dale's League? I got fed up hitting the page next button on the list of teams page :o

Oooh! There goes my secret identity!

It's a West Ham league, so there's likely to be about 65 million fans involved - COYI! :D

Yeah, but Man Utd, Liverpool, and Arsenal haven't played yet. Wait until after tomorrow's game.

Melchester Rovers have made it into the World's top 100(,000).

After just 3 games I'm already 75 points behind the leader

As a league we are 140,702th out of 201,344. So it's still pretty close. :D

Much to everyone's shock, the Highland Valiant come in last. Surely the policy of only choosing Scottish players (+ an Egyptian and an Irishman who used to play in Scotland) can't be to blame just because a lot are injured or dropped? :o

At least you can take comfort from being top of our league! And wow, I've moved into second. Looks like my substitutions paid off... or perhaps my captain, Rooney, getting 10pts (doubled to 20) helped? ;)

And Al, I see your keeper got sent off... if you want to stay top, I'd sub him.
