It wasn't. It's just that it only survives in black and white now. The colour masters were wiped or lost.
steelclaw wrote: 'Anything you can do' your right Raven some of it was hilarious, those two lads singing in Kilts I expected a fairly high pitched voice but it came out fairly deep bass voice.
Did you notice that some of their verse limericks were a bit 'dirty'?

The incredibly depressed looking girl who painted the Grim Reaper?

Did you notice one of the judges smoking a fag?

The Clifton House Mystery and Come Back Lucy are quite nice spook shows. The Flaxton Boys is fun, too, and I find Pardon My Genie quite amusing - good cast with Hugh Paddick, plus Roy Barraclough at his campest. Follow Me - starring Ronald Fraser - is slow building but intelligent and quite enjoyable; nice Bristol Docks footage. Which are you going for next?

The Jensen Code was a bit weird, I didn't know what was going on at first.

'Follow me' and 'The Danedyke Mystey were OK.

'Hold the front page' was so awful it was funny :)

Boy Dominic was good I saw that first time around.

I really liked Hold the Front Page - especially Denise Coffey's desk on a bike. Aside from the corny gags, it had some inspired nonsense. I remember when Gerry Marsden was a regular on kids' TV for a while very well.

Yes, the first series of Dramarama, all with a scary twist, from 1983, with the unpleasant DJ on 'The Danny Roberts Show' episode. A revival of Shadows in a way, though I don't recall it being quite as good.

Yes, the first series of Dramarama, all with a spooky or scary flavour, from 1983, with the unpleasant DJ on 'The Danny Roberts Show' episode. A revival of Shadows from Thames in a way, though I don't recall it being quite as good. It would make a good DVD release.

Yes, lots! I think its all-time peak of quality was from 74-75, which I have a lot from.

I'd like to see full releases of some series like Jamie and Nobody's House, and the sketch shows from Look Back 2. Also a 1973 historical film serial Pretenders. Boy Dominic's sequel Dominic would be good, too. And series 2 of Robert's Robots!

Adult stuff: I'd like them to put out Eric Idle's Rutland Weekend Television complete. And The Innes Book of Records could be nice. And sketch shows The Pink Medicine Show and End of Part One.

There are also some anthology series from the early 70s I've never seen, like Tales of Unease which sound intriguing. And they plan to put out Orson Welles' Great Mysteries.

I'm actually quite tempted by the Double Deckers DVD that recently came out! A really memorable period piece.

Have you noticed that Network have recently released Scorpion Tales? I was too young to stay up for it at the time, but I'm quite intrigued. Do you remember it?

They've had Nigel Kneale's Beasts out for a few years, too. Three episodes of that, at least, are very good.

Metal Mickey?!

I won't harp on about it much more but Shadows series 1 is a real bargain at £7.99 - the first series is all ghosts & horror (unlike the third series which was sampled on Look Back 2 and was fantasy orientated) and I think you and Alanultron would both like it.

They usually have a whole site sale, sometimes 50% off everything, in January, so I'd anticipate and wait for that if I were you, because it may well happen again.

I got that ITV Christmas sitcoms DVD a few years ago. Nice to have, though some of the shows - like Billy Liar - are very poor.

Not from Network but did you get any of The Tomorrow People DVDs that came out a few years back and are very cheap online now? They have some very amusing commentaries from the cast.

I was watching the Double Deckers the other day while waiting for my 'Look-Back' DVDs, I have the whole series that my mate did for me.
I also have the full 'Catweasle' series.

I have Blue and Green of 'The Tomorow People' from the 2nd series.

Scorpion Tales I think I recall it but don't remember watching any of it.

Yes I will add Shadows to my list.

NETWORKDVD are on youtube they have 191 clips, I typed in Scorpion Tales but didn't recognize the theme tune.

Metal Micky I know it's bad it's a nostalgia thing.

Amazon have the whole 'Tomorrow People# series for £22.44 used or new from £25.97.
Also TimeSlip' £9.93
Looks Like I'm gonna spend a lot of money in the new year.

I've watched all of LOOK-BACK 3 & 4 I'm going to watch them all again.

Raven I emailed Network DVD to see if any new Look-Backs are being released next year, they said

"No current plans for future volumes" :(

I had a chuckle during 'Pardon My Genie'

"It was kind of you for giving me a ride Mrs Banford"
(The Genie had turned Mrs Banford into a Horse)

What did you think of THE CLIFTON HOUSE MYSTERY, COME BACK LUCY and JUST WILLIAM?

There are probably only enough '70s shows left for another couple of volumes at most - they don't have the rights to Southern's kids' output; a company called Simply release that - and apparently there are rights issues for most of the shows remaining. I'm hoping they'll be sorted for next November/December.

In the meantime, there are lots of individual series to get.

Well, it is often funny. It's worth getting that full series of thirteen.

THE CLIFTON HOUSE MYSTERY was quite good, a lot of series seem to have people having to sell up or leave their houses.

COME BACK LUCY before I watched it I thought it was the 1950's TV Programme another leaving their house series.

JUST WILLIAM It's how I remembered it Bonnie Langford screaming it was better then I thought it was.

THE INTRUDER was pretty weird that bloke turning up and saying he is the real Arnold Haithwaite.

I like them all in a way and could sit and watch the whole series on all of the discs.
