I did notice when McColls tried to charge me £1 extra for that first new look Dandy, and corrected them. Sounds as if my having to go to the Jobcentre on Wednesday (meaning I went to WHSmith in the city centre for my Dandy instead of Martin McColls near my house) has cost me an extra £2.49, because I wouldn't point out that I'd been undercharged! Ah well, it's worth the price anyway.DJDogfart wrote:Mcolls charged me £2.50 for the first of the new Dandy and I didn't notice. How I laughed yesterday when the Christmas issue scanned through at £1.50. What goes around comes around!
Like everyone else, love the new look and especially the Xmas Monster Comic (harks back to the early annuals) for me it was like being 10 again. Long may it continue...

1. Is that him next to Gok chasing a red Dalek in the first Harry Hill strip?
2. Doctor Goo, obviously, in Bogies.
3. Last panel of the first page of the Postman Prat strip, Tardis in background with the Doctor shouting that he's just passing through.

I think Nigel Acht... Acher... Auche... I think Nigel's 'The Night of the Living Glee' strip was the funniest thing I've read all year. A good way for me to judge a Beano/Dandy is if i laugh 3-4 times but I reckon I laughed that many times in just those 2 pages alone.

Would the sneak preview of 'Docor Loo' on the inside back cover count as a fourth?NP wrote:Those are the three I saw!Digifiend wrote:1. Is that him next to Gok chasing a red Dalek in the first Harry Hill strip?

There's also Dr. Moo in the T.V Teaser if that counts?
Dr. Who does appear an awful lot, in various different forms!

Assistant Editor Michelle had the idea to do a zombie/glee club mash up, but left the rest to me. The writing took some wrestling with a couple of false starts but once I somehow stumbled on the "don't" "stop" "bell" "leaving" thing, Well I'm embarrassed to say I made my self laugh. That's a bit lame isn't it.
Just stick with Nigel A. I'm not too sure how it's spelt my self.

It's even better now.
