Spoofs of Fictional Heroes

American titles like Mad, Cracked, Not Brand Ecch!, etc. have a long tradition of producing unauthorized spoofs of famous heroes from comic strips, films, TV and literature. However, Peter Gray's mention of 'Blunder Girl' set me to thinking about British equivalents of these - I wonder how many other examples people can think of?

To set the ball rolling here's the very first episode of Blunder Girl as it appeared in Penny no.1:

Considering how few long-running, home-grown super-heroes the UK has given birth to over the years it's quite amazing how many super-hero spoofs there've been!

I didn't know about Combat Kelly (or Combat Casey, another Fifties Marvel hero) when I did Combat Colin in the 1980s but as for that comics dealer pal of mine.... well, let's just say the similarities began with coincidence and then art imitated life.

The single greatest parody-villian is Lew's Man-Brick (a parody of Man-Bat, folks). Always makes me chuckle.

I also remember parodies (not of super heros but of famouse characters/people) like Crowjack, Sheerluck Homes, Sweeny Toddler, Frankie Stein, Draculass, Kid Kong, Gal Capone etc

Cadman the fighting coward from the Victor was probably more of a homage than parody but he was obviously based on George MacDonald Fraser's Flashman Character.
