My sub copy arrived today, I'm pleased to say. A day before the shops.

That was last week, this is this week, and it's back to unacceptable, ridiculous normal. The Beano arrived on Monday, and the Dandy still hasn't arrived.

The subscriptions department never responded to my complaint from the 1st. I've just sent a very strongly worded e-mail to Craig Graham requesting an immediate callback from the subscriptions department - I've highlighted again that the idea that Royal Mail is at fault lacks any credibility, given that it's up to TNT to deliver the Dandy to the local Royal Mail Delivery Office, and let's face it, Lew, Peter and I not exactly in the same part of the country as each other.

I do feel your pain, AndyB. This is why I complained, as it went on for months and months and it seemed really unacceptable, given the claim that subscribers get the comic before it goes into the shops, that it was always so late – particularly as kids who subscribe wouldn't understand why. I have to admit that both issues arrived at our address (we're in North London) on Saturday, but I assumed this was because of the new way of delivery (as quoted in my last post). It'll be interesting to see whether they backslide again this week. I'm not sue if I'm allowed to post this on the forum but Gregor Morris, the guy I was dealing with in subscriptions, was very helpful (gmorris@dcthomson.co.uk) (apologies if I shouldn't have named him!) – the rest of them seem to approach each complaint as an isolated incident and start talking about shared letter boxes and individual postmen being at fault, whereas clearly it's nothing to do with any of that and everything to do with TNT. I'd contact him if you can and you might get somewhere. I'm surprised tho' as it certainly seemed from his email to me that the whole delivery system was being overhauled, so maybe that's happening soon? Fingers crossed!

According to your earlier correspondence with them it's being changed at the end of March so hopefully things will improve then.

Edit: My copy has just arrived. I hope everyone else has received theirs as well.

You're right, Lew – sorry, I didn't read my own post back properly! Oddly enough, i got another Dandy today – the same one I received on Saturday. That one had no 'TNT Mail' sticker on the front, but this one did. I assume the earlier one was sent direct because of my complaint last week, so there's proof positive I think that TNT are definitely the ones holding up delivery.

You mean the one that won't be in the shops for another five days? If so, it's actually early, even for a subscriber copy.

Our new Dandy (due out next Wednesday) also arrived today. I think this is the start of the new delivery method – if so, I'm pleased that we're not the only ones actually getting it decently early. No sign of a TNT Delivery label on the envelope, of course!

I think I'm still on the old TNT regime for another week, but I'll see in the morning.

What was revealed is that the issue dated 31st March is going to be a three-week issue. Longer on the shelves, but we've all agreed in the past that it's far better to have customers expecting to find new copies out every week.
