Blame the Royal Mail for that, their official booklet advertising the stamps and related merchandise makes the same mistake, despite having the correct © D.C. Thomson and Co Ltd elsewhere (can't scan it by the way, I don't have it, read it at my uncle's).

The Express called them DC Thompson as well. Taking the P in reverse.

Appropriate that these are available when they've announced the price hike for next month, they're certainly having a laugh!

Yeah, that price hike is ridiculous. I strongly suggest you buy as many stamps as you can afford before the increase takes effect.

If you had to transport a comic from say Cornwall to Aberdeen without using the post office it would cost you a lot of money. 60p or so is still pretty good value for money.

Agreed. I think we've been undercharged for post if anything. 60p to send something from one end of the country to the other, that's lilkely to arrive within 24 hours? That seems too cheap!

(That said, the postal service HAS deteriorated significantly over the past decade - does ANYONE get their post before noon anymore?)

Britain is the cheapest country in Europe for postal charges. France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Switzerland and Sweden for instance, all have a basic rate of more than euro 1.20, about £1, considerably more than us.
I do not work for the Post Office or Royal Mail but I appreciate it very highly especailly against the likes of TNT .

I have to agree I think we need to get this in perspective the "universal" UK charge is still pretty cheap (not everyone live in the South of England) BUT to be fair the UK is the 20th most expensive county in general terms (tax , cost of living , food , rent etc) to live in (and is gonna climb that ladder soon ) - Personally I dont subscribe to comics and at 60p I def wont be now.

Deteriorated is right - it's more like 48 hours these days.
