Some US comic websites have a feature where you can show the adverts in a comic..thought it would be fun to do the same here.....
Hope the Daily page will be able to show the Great flood of London it looks good and very up to date...drawn by David Sutherland..
might be fun to see the pink pages adverts for new comics displayed here as well....

I've got a few comic adverts in "my pictures" but how do you transfer them to this forum?

I created a quick website so I can download bits and pieces...
http://uk.geocities.yahoo.com/
using Geocities........it doesn't have to be for anyone else....but then you can use properties to get the code
display the code here then highlight it......and click on the image button.....it will then display here

I wonder if there are other comic tv launch adverts which can be put on youtube.....was it Topper or Beezer that had one?
I also vote to see more 70's adverts from comics on your blog liked the Star Trek one the crazy critters and Dr Who.......its nice when they are drawn ones rather than photographs...
the corgi rocket looked great fun....did anyone have that..

Yes, I had one for Christmas 1971! Indeed great fun.
As for comic tv ads: EVERY new comic or free gift issue was advertised on tv in the 1960s & 1970s. (All similar short snappy items like that 2000 AD one.) Fortunately we had a newsagent at the corner of the road so as soon as I saw the ads I'd dash up to the shop and buy a copy of the comic.

Great ads which really make you want to buy the comics! Evidence that hand lettered ads had much more soul than the computer fonts they use today.

Yeah, you can't beat jokes like that "what is striped and goes ho-ho-ho?"
Somebody pick me up. Can't stand for laughing

Who said anything about the jokes? I was talking about the design of the ads!
