You should e-mail them and ask them to give you a breakdown of the postage costs. From experience i'd say the postage would be £1.40 at most. Which leaves £8.60 still to account for. Report them to ebay - they have set up a maximum postage charge to prevent people like that making a mint on mug punters.

Admittedly I do live in New Zealand but £10 still seems way too much money, over double what I've payed before!

Today I decided to leave this:

I already own issues one and two, and it would be nice to own a few more issues, but I've decided to save my money!

In Deptford flea market yesterday they had a bunch of Lucky Luke books but they were in French or Spanish so I didn't bother with them.

A couple of Doctor Who Magazine reprint books... because I'd gone to the manga shelves first and got Genshiken Omnibus 3 and Thermae Romae, which are both very bulky. I'll get 'em next week!
One has the tenth Doctor and Rose, the other is, I beleive, the latest collection, The Crimson Claw

I wonder if there is any cross-pollination here from the Dixon Hawke serial with the same title in Adventure in 1958, in which Hawke and his young assistant, Tommy Burke, leave the comfort of their Dover Street flat to take on a sinister brotherhood of Eastern killers.

Yesterday, I visited my home town while I was on holidays, and while browsing through their second hand comics section at Gould's Bookshop, I was tempted to buy but didn't get a Bunty Picture Library, and about nine issues of Misty.

I also found there two issues of Monster Fun (Nos. 7 and 34) but didn't pick them up as they didn't have the Badtime Bedtime Books. :(

I'll try and visit some more second hand bookshops while I have some time left on my hols.

I found a mixed pack of different comics today, but when I contacted the seller to ask what the dates were for the Buster comics (they had only put the years) they replied that they only knew the years. I asked again politely, but no reply, so looks like I won't be buying these.

I thought that too, but in the picture the covers are there, I just can't make out which issues they are. But, if the seller can't even reply, then I won't bother with it.

Last weekend: On Sat in shop in Manc spotted a "Bonnie" annual (not in gallery on this site). Didn't get as I don't collect the under 5s kiddie stuff, but had a flick through - it's like an attempt by IPC to break into the Twinkle market. I believe a strike scuppered its progress & a merger with PlayHour happened.

On Sun at antiques fair in Stockport, spotted a 1950s Dandy Annual (was never into Dandy) & a 1980 Look-In annual (read a mate's once - wasn't impressed by this one).

To tell truth couldn't afford to buy much anyway - spent a bit of budget clearing 3 closing HMVs around North West with assorted DVDs & CDs. Get the bargains while you can me thinks.

A stack of Look and Learns, 50p each from Trinity Market in Hull Old Town. Looked like about a year's worth.

I didn't buy a pocket size Judge Dredd Dark Judges graphic novel...because I picked up a copy free from my local library. Left over from World Book Night or some such. Well, they kept that quiet. Still, it's a nice compilation of old Judge Death stories.

Yesterday I went to a big comic fair in London, but didn't get anything. One stall had a few Actions, but nothing had prices on it, and the guy was busily talking to other people XD. I did start looking at a stack of assorted British comics, when somebody next to me pulled out Tornado issue 1 and bought it! >.<
Also saw a load of Pristine Sexton Blake and Wild West pocket libraries, but they were understandably steep at about £10 each. Like new, though!
Anyway, after wandering through various Japanese shops, I found a Vintage Magazine Emporium, which has various magazines from different decades 'framed' on cardboard backing with clingfilm. There was a surprising amount of Eagle in the 50's and 60's sections, but they wanted £15 EACH(!) for them, so I strolled away.
