Weirdly, you need to HAVE credits, but you don't actually get debited any of them...

Still rather have issue 14 though, or at least know when we will get it or when we will know the 'big news'

Wish we could have still had Issue 14 and had the announcement in there. I'm really enjoying The Digital Dandy!

I'm really hoping the announcement is the return of the print Dandy and not a merge with The Beano. The Beano is brilliant right now as it is and The Dandy is showing you don't need to still be printed to be fantastic.

I don't like the idea of two "rival" comics merging as it takes away the fun I feel. All I can say is whatever is coming, I'm very excited about it! But until then, I guess we'll just have to sit patiently and await further announcements! :D

I'm sure if the print Dandy was returning the newspapers would have jumped all over it by now.

Whizzer and Chips worked on the idea that it was 2 rival comics in one, although that probably worked because it was originally created that way.

Maybe a summer special? Like the ones the Beano has done for past two years. It's too early for the annual.

Hmm, this has the air of "GREAT NEWS FOR ALL READERS!" about it. Not that I'm suggesting it'll be merging with The Beano as I highly doubt that, but I have a bad feeling about what the news will turn out to be.

I agree PaulTwist usually when comics have done something like this in the past it really is bad news.

I hope not though because I don't think The Digital Dandy has been given a chance to be successful. Why didn't DC Thomson advertise it more in The Beano, do they want it to fail?

You have to wonder. It was advertised, along with the final print edition, on the week that those issues (print 3610 and digital zero) came out (issue dated December 8th 2012). But not since. Which frankly, is really baffling. They could even have paid for other publishers to advertise it (as a digital offering, it wouldn't be directly competing with print titles, especially if they don't have their own websites). Similar problems killed the print edition in the first place. Remember, a lot of people thought that the Dandy had folded years before it actually did.

Maybe the Dandy will finally become an app? A phone/tablet edition makes much more sense.

And I agree that the advertising and awareness building has been somewhat muted. And, speaking personally, I would have preferred more for my £1.50. They could even throw a few reformatted classic strips into the mix.

Not in the true sense of the word 'app'...

It has its own website but there is no app for iPod or iPad or iPhone etc, unless I am mistaken

I read The Digital Dandy on my mum's Android phone (my version of Android doesn't support the app).

Hmmm. All but issues 0 and 1 have disappeared, plus the announcement.
