So there's a a guy in this story who gets turned into a cyborg for not pulling his weight. If you ask me it's win win, but he kinda has a problem with it. Dude's name is Wrench, formerly Science Director Garrett of the Black Lamp supersoldier project.

Cade Cyger's battleblade is part of him. And now he's gonna make it part of you. Dude's considerate like that.

Slayer Brig Holden wields a P-10 Sinesco Tribune Chargebow. His favouring of HEAP (High Explosive Armour Piercing) arrows compensates somewhat for his less than legendary aim. His more than legendary reputation with the ladies presumably enables him to sleeps nights, however... or not, as it were.

"Like hell she makes two-fifty on a ninety grade! One-eighty tops when I ditch my gunner! Fraudulent activities, Falhurth! I'm reporting you to industrial standards!"
"Red indicator blinking at you? Top right of the dash?"
"What 'red'- well, yeah. What about it?"
"Got the mother in park, mister."

Very dynamic and hard sci-fi-like, Michael.

Have you ever submitted your material to 2000 AD? Apologies if you have covered this question earlier............of course you may be wanting to go completely independent.

Best wishes with your works though you clearly are putting a lot of time and effort into this.....

Thanks for your thoughts ISPYSHHHGUY (copy-pasted your name there... I'm a lot lazier than you think ;)) .

I subbed some stuff to 2000AD back in 2000...AD, funnily enough.

They sort of liked my stuff okay, but said it was the kind of thing they would have published in the like of Crisis, long-since dead even then. I was only just in my conspiracy come-down phase, and satanic Freemasons were so 1991 by then.

They wanted to see what I'd do with an already-published Judge Dredd script they'd included in their response, so I had a go, in my best sub-par Simon Bisley impersonation.

This sacrilege of their definitive article (a work I'd never seen, but I guess still ought to check out) apparently so sickened Andy Diggle that not only was I definitely 'not for them' (too right- I was terrible), but I also happened upon one of their new stories 'Necronauts' a couple of years later- the exact name of the bad guys in the aforementioned strip they'd rejected.

Coincidence? Yes- but all the same, after that I wasn't exactly hungering to pitch them anything else! I'm especially determined these days to retain as much of the rights to my work as possible... as opposed to, say, not at all (*cough* Jack Kirby *cough* Siegel & Shuster *hack wheeze* etc), which with the best will in the world Rebellion aren't really in the game of indulging.

Good on them though for continuing to give all us (to be honest not quite as thrill-starved as we used to be) Earthlets at least one comic on the newstands that isn't trying to force-feed its readership Lego figurine knock knock jokes with the tenacity of one of Giger's face huggers.

Yes Michael ......who would have thought that 2000 AD would have been virtually the last man standiing in the comic shelves back in 1977?

Those cynical product cash-ins. with the established brand characters do not really count............I never even pick them up to look through them......just too brashly capitalist .

SOMEBODY. must be buying the stuff though...........
