Two and a half grand going for "buy it now" Misty collection including summer specials, annuals and a few specials as regards "best of" and a couple of souvenir issues. I know these are rare to find and pricey to buy individually. Still, this is a helluva price. Anyone interested?

That collection is overpriced by at least a grand. Even at £10 an issue, you are still looking at less than £1,500 for the whole thing.geoff42 wrote:Two and a half grand going for "buy it now" Misty collection including summer specials, annuals and a few specials as regards "best of" and a couple of souvenir issues. You've got some great info there, did you get it from a particular site? I used a site for ages that showed what comics had sold for on Ebay over the last few years in the UK and US but when my laptop crashed, I lost the URL and can't for the life remember the name of the site. hours spent on google hasn't helped yet. Can you help please??

Here is yet another crazy price. We are looking at issues 900 to 1000 of Commando and the price is more like they are selling issues 100 to 200...

Had a look and my Other Half would crucify me if I spent that much on a collection. She grumbled when I bought an entire set of Hurricanes recently.geoff42 wrote:Two and a half grand going for "buy it now" Misty collection including summer specials, annuals and a few specials as regards "best of" and a couple of souvenir issues. My mate Steve is watching some 1964 Tigers on ebay and says some are at around £40 each and one at £70. They end tonight.

I'll have two... Not! I do think that internet users and intelligence sometimes seem to be mutually exclusive.Adam Eterno wrote:This Dandy seems a bargain!

Re: Ebay - you want how much for it???
I just logged onto ebay to check my sales and noticed a bid from stevezodiac. Wondered why i'd bid on my own item until I realised I only use stevezodiac on this site.
Two steve zodiacs - who'd a thunk it?

Re: Ebay - you want how much for it???
Just as a matter of interest, is there a similar way to access sellers on eBay as opposed to specific items for sale on a Wants list?
Re: Ebay - you want how much for it???
Personally I would have gone the whole hog and charged £3,007.00. Surely they can't think they will get that??!!colcool007 wrote:I'll have two... Not! I do think that internet users and intelligence sometimes seem to be mutually exclusive.Adam Eterno wrote:This Dandy seems a bargain!

Re: Ebay - you want how much for it???
There's someone who wants £2,555.00 for the full series of Misty comics (though does seem to include all the annuals, best of, etc...). Still, though not as bad as The Dandy, still pricey especially as you would to arrange your own collection.

That's a healthy mark up!
Listing on Ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/First-Oor-Wul ... Swk1JWgBGP
Exact same copy was only bought at McTears last month for £3400: http://www.mctears.co.uk/auctions/lot.a ... R%20WULLIE
Looks in great condition but £3400 was about the going rate I would have thought
