Eh? Slipper's not pleased, he's confused that Ratbucket didn't want to press charges. :)

i enjoyed the nod to the original lord snooty, though it was only in a painting it seems that snooty is the only character to have prob shuffled off into heaven while dennis the menace & roger, minnie etc is still the same age. now i want to know about lord snooty the 2nd who they dont want to mention.maybe they should age some other characters as well or havea parent die or something.

Or maybe they shouldn't. That'd be like Billy Bunter taking exams or Sexton Blake retiring, and then you'd be into League of Extraordinary Gentlemen territory. And nobody* wants that.

Lord Snooty the second was perhaps James Bond.

*-nb: "Nobody" in this context may mean "Everybody".

Private Eye's review of the Beano Annual says that Snooty may have died of old age. This week's strip actually confirms it, without actually using the D word (Snooty III saying his only relative is the Aunt we've seen once). Yep, they killed off old Lord Marmaduke off panel! Definitely a Beano first.

Odd. They come out on the same day, so they should arrive at the same time. I'm waiting for some very important post myself. Can't use my bank card, it expired on Dec 31 - and the new one hasn't arrived yet. :x

Hmm, for the second week running, Minnie the Minx is drawn by Laura Howell. I suppose the snow prevented Ken Harrison from posting off his artwork again, he's had post problems before.

And Bully Beef and Chips were in the Bananaman strip this week. Yep, they do reference the past sometimes!

Loved the retro pages..maybe if Classics comes back it could be done on glossy paper..fewer pages But looked lovely in two tones..

Is The Bash Street kids running a repeat script or will it be new gags and situations..David must be having deja vu!!

Loved Fred's Bed and Meebo and Z...love the imagination in them..

i also loved the 50s retro stories of minnie and the 3 bears i would like to see 2 pages like this every week as i & im sure the majority never seen these 1st time round or even in classics from the comics.they should scrap the recent reprints like robbie rebel and calamity james as they are too recent & use the 50s & 60s stories.I would also love the dandy to do this.
