Help! Missing Lucky Charm issues!

In the light of your comment quoted above, Digifiend, I have read through my post again very carefully, but I cannot for the life of me see where I stated or implied that Magic was a nursery title. I might not have any originals but I have owned for many years a facsimile of its first issue and Ray Moore's The Magic Index, so I can assure you that I am well aware of the nature of the comic's content.

I think 30th Century Comics have 2 or 3 issues for sale at the moment for something like £6 each SC.

The price does tend to vary - I was lucky enough to buy no 17 last week on ebay for the princely sum of £1.04 . I bought most of the others in bulk (it was around 15 copies , I think) from a lady in New Zealand via the specialist auctions site and they cost me around £30 including the postage. When I had some doubles I sold them on ebay and they sold on average for £5 - £7.

I'm still on the lookout for no 14!!

plus one Bimbo, one Twinkle and one Lucky Star, just as examples of relatively recent nursery titles, clearly too few on which to base any assertions. I wouldn't pay the prohibitive prices being asked for issues of Magic, so I don't have any.

That's how I got confused, you mentioned Magic immediately after several nursery titles. Also, Kashgar's comment noted the confusion as well.

BTW when I was referring to Magic being stapled I was referring to the 1976 incarnation not the 1939 one which used glue for binding. I only mention this because of your 'prohibitive prices' comment re Magic which I can't think can have been intended to refer to the second outing for the title.

No problem, Digifiend, but for clarification purposes it may just be worth my while pointing out that my comment about Magic wasn't in the same sentence as my comment on the nursery titles, so I had actually separated them. I did cause some confusion though by focusing on the original Magic despite Kashgar's bracketing Magic with the other nursery titles that I proceeded to comment on. At the time I was concerning myself with the question of Thomsons' use of staples or glue and consequently took my eye off the ball you were following. The fact that I don't have any issues of either the first or the second coming of Magic on which to base my judgements is no real excuse so, on balance, I owe you the apology.

Apart from the issue 1 1939 fascimile you mentioned earlier.

Anyway, this confusion about Magic has taken us way off topic. I don't think it really matters who owes who an apology. The confusion is dealt with anyway.

Hi All

I am new to this site (Hello!) but came to it having been searching online to complete my own Lucky Charm collection. I've nine still to get.

I read the last twelve or so of the run (from Meg of the Moors onwards) when they were out in the early 80s but have no idea at all where my copies went to sadly, so have been tracking them down to collect the set.

I have been getting them in the usual places - Ebay and 30th century comics, but was wondering if anyone could suggest anywhere else that I could track down the elusive final 9 - or indeed if anyone has doubles that they could sell me?

The issues I'm looking for are 7 - Angel, 8 - Valda, 10 - Out to ruin St Roslyns, 13 - Gypsy Jenna on the Run, 17 - Little Miss Frozen Face, 20 - The Taming of Teresa, 22 - The Truth about Valda, 23 - The Dancing Life of Moira Kent and 30 - Sisters of the Secret Pool.

Thanks everyone - and btw MASSIVELY enjoying this site - I felt like such a sad girls comics obsessed geek there for quite a while, but heartened by the number of other like minded individuals on this site!!
