Although I didn't buy the Bash Street Kids comic, I went to Oxfam round the corner and bought Viz The Big Hard One with the paper back cover for £2.99. Maybe that was a little dear, but there is one going for £10 + on eBay, plus it's still got three days left. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VIZ-ANNUAL-COMIC- ... 240%3A1318
But mine doesn't say "The Original" on it.
The Desperate Dan annual I bought on the car boot went for £7.50 and the Black Bob for around £17, from a seller who had those books. I wonder if mine would go for the same?
The "Jews House" in Lincoln has numerous little bits in it, but most promiment is a bookshop which always has it's "kids books" at "pocket money" prices regardless of what they are. Normally, of course, they are thin 90's paperbacks about Reboot or Sweet Valley High, but i did once find an early 50's Collins Boy's Annual in there for 60p!
I went to Deptford market on Saturday as usual (didn't have pie and mash) but picked up the Diana Book for Girls 1969 and a 2003 Broons book for 50p each. Got soaked as well. It hammered down and all the stalls have tarpaulin covers. Well you can guess what happend the water built up in the tarp above me and then descended Niagra fashion right down my Gregory Peck, brrrr. I actually gasped in shock. They had some other Diana books but they didn't have dust jackets so I left them.

I knew I had that somewhere. I've just dug it out and it's called "Vix C***C Holiday Special". It says "Summer Autumn Winter Spring" on the cover.
I loved the strip "The Bacons Go To Blackpool" where they stop the car in the middle of the motorway so Biffa can punch somebody!
