I'll do a post on it...I have that issue...not today though..

loved Leo's work, Ken Reid and Reg Parlett.
The Nits of the roundtable look like another artist...

Pete's pocket army..Fishboy..Galaxus are all top adventure stories..

Also now found my Hoot Panto issue and will do a post on that soon..

It could be my imagination but the group illustration on that Buster and Jet cover looks like a jam session by several artists. Is anyone prepared to take a stab at identifying the different styles?

In the meantime here's another Buster double-header from the Christmas of '68:

Here's the back page from the 1973 Buster & Jet.

Plus another strip Penny Pincher.

My guess is that Reg Parlett is doing the honours on this cover.

From the same issue...

Hmmm... I wonder how many Christmas Busters we can gather together on one thread? I'm not sure if it's been posted before but here's the cover for 1974 (yet another double-header! ):

- along with its special Christmas episode of 'Marney the Fox':

(Personally I can't help but think this self-contained story would have made a better choice for the current Buster Special, but then I suppose they want it to be on sale after Christmas as well.)

...Of course, one advantage of Christmas was that if you had any of that special 'white ink' left over you could always use it again the following week:

A full-colour Christmas cover from 1961 by Mike Western. Anybody else remember Bootsie and Snudge?

You posted that one here last year. Thanks for putting that Buster back page up. :)

As for Marney the Fox, the one they used was the first episode. Seems a logical enough choice, even if it did end in a cliffhanger.
