It is quite possible that neither is the actual Christmas number. Thomsons used to bring their Christmas issues out anytime from the last week of November onwards, thus spreading the theme over four or five weeks across their various titles.

It says they would make a rope from their scarves and tie it under his arms to lower him to the ground. Also they would make a huge pile of snow at the bottom of the ladder as an added precaution.

I have a bundle of Beano and Dandy Christmas issues here but they are late 80s early 90s so maybe too recent/too familiar. Nice covers though. Also have a couple of Toppers but they have to be scanned in two halves and are hard to match up (see Boy's World above).

I really love to own that Buster one as I remember it..

Lew your Christmas comics reviews have been amazing..has you have done so many..its hard in a good way to keep up with it all..what a lot of planning you've done...it makes my head spin..

Amazing how David has drawn the bed in each panel at different angles...I do love the detail in this one..
