I was disappointed to hear Live and Let Die was voted best Bond theme. I'm a big Beatles fan but for me Nancy Sinatra's You Only Live Twice is the best. Lee and Nancy made some beautiful music together. Summer Wine is superb as is Some Velvet Morning.

Agree about Peter Allen - one of the joys of having a day off is to be able to hear Five Live Drive.

I cannot begin to say how much I am grinning after seeing that link. Not only does Alf win, but he also catches a dodgy geezer with light fingers as he goes. You can't get much more Tough Of The Track than that.

Steve, I have to disagree with you regarding 007 as I think that the Wings theme tune was tops. But as I was born in '68 that may explain my difference in opinion!
I started to say something sensible but my parents took over my brain!

I think everybody seemed a bit surprised that 'Live And Let Die' won - I was myself, in spite of the fact that it would have been my personal choice!

I based my choice on Nancy's version from a best of cd not realising her single recording was a different version to the film one...I watched the film version on youtube last night and found it inferior - not as strong. I'd probably make Louis Armstrong's theme my second choice.
