How do you know Kid? Why are you assuming that

I did actually toy with the idea of composing a thread entitled:
WHATEVER HAPPENED TO CAPTAIN STORM?
---as I thought it sounded eye-catching----however this act seems redundant, in light of this thread.
Yes, I also enjoyed the Cap's quipsome cavortings.

People leave forums for all sorts of reasons: I've done it myself, but I'm happy to report that this particular forum here is in the main very friendly and relaxed, all you %#"!!&* reading this!

Well, I did say
'if', so I don't assume that he
is, but that he
might be. Mr Stringer said 'a' troll (singular), suggesting he had a specific individual in mind, and as, elsewhere, he has often gone to great pains in the past to confer that particular designation upon me (and only recently, too), I have to consider the possibility that he has me in mind on this occasion also - especially as 'Captain Storm' has likewise tried to taint me with the same brush (as well as other untrue allegations). As this forum does not operate in a vacuum and both Mr Stringer's blog and my own receive regular visits from forum members, I felt I couldn't countenance the very real likelihood that some members would assume that I was the 'guilty party'. It's all too easy to say that I wasn't specifically named, but there are enough people out there (and in here) who are familiar with Mr Stringer's opinion of me to make it worthwhile to nip misleading (inadvertent or otherwise) statements in the bud. A case of 'better safe than sorry', you might say.

Seems to me it had already reached its natural conclusion, leaving your comment somewhat redundant.

Whereas that trollish comment served a really useful purpose

I can't be bothered with this guy anymore. Added to ignore list.

This seems to have taken a strange turn.
Anyway all I wanted to do was to acknowledge the debt I felt to the Cap for all the huge degree of fun he provided when I returned to the fold. Guys like him, Lew Stringer, Steve Holland and Co have been great tour-guides.
Thanks one and all.

I see - the old 'any comment I don't like or agree with is from a troll' approach. How tedious. Actually, going by your own standard, your previous ill-mannered comment falls into the same category. I did suggest that people comment privately, but I felt that Phil's public question deserved the courtesy of a public response. Explaining the actual facts of a situation that someone else has presented a distorted and misleading account of is merely to exercise my right of reply. However, by all means, do feel free to ignore - my heart will hardly be the 'seat of wasting sorrow' because of it.

Thanks Prodigal. As you know, I stopped updating my old blog at the start of this year but there's 1,000 posts on there so hopefully it'll keep you busy for a while.

May I humbly suggest my own blog, which, amongst the 'space-fillers' common to all blogs, is bound to contain something which you might enjoy.

Even if not, it contains a list of other blogs which may be more to your taste.

Well, the situation with his blogs certainly hasn't changed. Unless there are any other known contact details, we have no way of finding out what happened.

As he was anonymous I guess we'll never know. Hope he's ok anyway.

It occurs to me that to have registered for this forum Cap must have lodged an email address, so, I suppose, one of the admins could have a go at passing our good wishes and see what happens. Assuming I'm not at the coo's tail again and that has already been suggested or done. Just a thought.
