I see it is still for sale at the DCT website, three questions come to mind:

(1) Has anyone seen it in the shops lately?

(2) Any idea how many copies of the last issue have been sold (I got a few).

(3) There have been red and gold editions. Have there been any silver?

Been gone from my local WH Smith branches for the last week at least. Presumably, they sold out again.

I haven't seen any in the shops since first week in December.

Last time I saw it on sale was in a small newsagent in Whitby, the day before New Years Eve.

Has anyone bought The Art and History of The Dandy Book/The Last Dandy offer from DCT?

Wouldn't all Dandy fans have them by now? The book came out six months ago.

It wasn't easy to find on the high street. I only ever saw it in Waterstones, and it seems my local branch only ever got one copy. So not necessarily.

It was available on Amazon at a very reasonable rate for ages. That's where I pre-ordered my copy from.

I've just noticed that the price at the DC Thomson shop is only £20. Surely that's not unreasonable for a large format full colour hardback book? If you look at the prices of other hardback books aimed at the niche comic collector's market you'll find things like Harvey Horrors and Marvel Masterworks costing £30 - £40.

Given the amount of enthusiasm shown to The Dandy on this forum I don't understand why people are hesitating on buying a book about its history, unless they're hoping it'll turn up in The Works for a tenner? (Not likely anytime soon I'd imagine.)
