The Two Ronnies series 3 (September '73 to January '74), episode 6. I know it's not a British comic, but it is a British TV show.

here's a pic from the first regular episode of Porridge (New Faces, Old Hands), where Heslop (played by the great Brian Glover) is reading the Beezer. You can see Colonel Blink on the back page

Thanks for identifying the issue, jakob1978.
I always assumed that when the props dept. needs a comic they usually send a runner round to the local newsagent to buy something suitable (unless there's a requirement for a vintage comic). If my assumption was correct with regard to the 2 Ronnies clip, the runner would have got a comic with the 'Marvel All-Colour Comics' banner across the top, which as far as I know appeared on the UK-distributed Marvel comics at the time (although in 1973 I was on a break from comic-buying so I could be wrong).
If I'm right about that, the copy shown must have come from a comic shop or dealer rather than a newsagent. Or maybe someone on the production team raided his son's collection

as a follow up to my previous post about the character of Heslop reading a Beezer in the first episode of Porridge, he also appeared in the second episode (The Hustler) where he can be seen reading another comic.
It looks like it's a copy of Smash...is that the second half of a double page spread of "The Swots and the Blots", and if so, what's the strip whose title you can only just see in the second pic...Captain something??

It's a copy of Valiant and Smash. The strip you see in the second picture is Captain Hurricane.
