looking at the daily page tonight page 3.looks a bit like the dummy comic cover...maybe it was a idea for what became Giggle comic...

Giggle preceded that dummy comic by two years.
I still hold to my theory that "Cracker" was an early Whizzer and Chips dummy, at a time when its format was going to be closer to Beano's.

It bugged me that I had forgotten the name of that Eagle style Comic I mentioned so I dug out my copy of Best of Eagle Flies Again 1, which I thought had mentioned it.
It was in fact called Terra-Nova, the undersea strip was Ocean Interpol.
The article was a tribute by John Ridgeway to the man behind the Comic, the late Derek Lord - a former Eagle Editor.
here is s scan of that comic that never was, Eureka. I think this 'dummy' comic may have existed in more than one format over the course of its production but this is the only one I have.
