In my personal opinion, this is the weakest Pertwee strip published and makes no sense.

Finally The Master (the TV series's greatest antagonist of the third Doctor) arrives in a convoluted, confusing yet great fun strip.
Red Angus McAird and his team from 1745 are used by The Master to capture a nuclear submarine.
Cave chronons are involved.
In my opinion, an enjoyable strip but at this stage Countdown/TV Action were past their prime on their Dr Who comics, there are a couple of classics left before the mag folds but ultimately the last great Countdown strip was "Zeron Invasion".
Things improve when it returns to TV Comic, in my opinion.

Well I re-read this story earlier tonight and while I stick to my guns with my statement that "The Zeron Invasion" was the last classic Countdown/TV Action classic strip, this is extremely good.
A solar energy plant in Wales has protestors and oddly "The Green Death" was on TV at the time that the last two parts of this story came out.
It's not meant to be a sequel to "Trail of Fire"(TV Comic) but works extremely well as such.
Sir Nigel Lomax is under the control of the Fire People, who will return in a third story, again not meant to be related, with Tom Bakers' Dr.

Countdown/TV Action was one of those that I missed as a kid. Even though I was watching the likes of Doctor Who and Star Trek around that time too.
Reading comics since 1970. My Current Regulars are: 2000 AD (1977-), Judge Dredd Megazine (1990-), Spaceship Away (2003-), Commando (2013-), Deadpool and Wolverine (2023-), Quantum (2023-), Fantastic Four (2025-).

I first picked up some issues at a school jumble sale.
Years later Dr Who Classic Comics reprinted all of the strips.
Nowadays I collect the comic on Ebay and from other sites.

A rather pedestrian story in which a satellite goes wrong.
This was the last Countdown/TV Action Dr Who strip.
The last issue was 132.
Countdown then merged with TV Comic and took 3 strips with it, including Dr Who which basically returned home.
Countdown has to be massively credited for what it did with the DR Who strip, it certainly took it far more seriously than TV Comic had done , until Pertwee where TV Comic started gearing up for this change, I believe.
In retrospect, I'm not a huge fan of the TV Action strips but a massive fan of the earlier Countdown ones.
Either way: Retrospectively, Countdown/TV Action proved that Dr Who could exist as a serious intelligent comic strip and without this I don't think we would ever have seen Dr Who Weekly/Monthly and the adult strips that would eventually appear.
Ultimately Countdown was TV21 rebooted and TV Action couldn't last as Look -In did it better.
Just my opinion, feel free to disagree.
