What comics did you buy today?

A couple of weeks ago I won what appeared to be 2 copies of 2000ad in the 100's but when I looked in the description there were several more not pictured including....Prog 2, there were only dates mentioned! There was already a bid on it of £5.50 so I thought no point in bidding and raising interest in it so I waited until the bitter end.....£6.50! Where the other bidder went I have no idea but the 2 progs pictured weren't worth £5.50. The 2 was in great shape, a rare bargain.

Surely Geoff knows the intention of his own words, Derek? The way I read it, I saw it as Geoff simply using his own experience as a comparison of the sort of prices they can go for, not as a complaint of what he paid.

perhaps I should have elaborated on my initial post to col. I stated the price I had paid for my warlords in order to illustrate the great bargain that col. had acquired from his fiver. Like you said, Phoenix, the matter is dropped. No offense taken. Don't wish to fall out with a fellow poster.

From a huge bootie all I got was some 60s Man From uncle , tv21 and a thunderbirds annuals £6 the lot, not a comic but a nice 70s dr who jigsaw for £3 .

Went to the ephemera fair in Bloomsbury yesterday and picked up 72 issues of The Hotspur numbered between 691 and 767 (1950-51) for £50.

just purchased issue 1391 of Victor comic with free football stamps for £3.95 (free postage). Same issue with free gift is currently going for £11.24 plus £1.60 postage "buy it now bid". I reckon I've got a bargain. I'm nowhere near getting to the year 1987 as regards Victor (still collecting the late seventies) but when I see something like that begging - I have to collect. We all know how a free gift inflates an issue of any comic.

Got near complete run of Buster 1991-1993,dont know why i bought them as i was only missing a few from each year so got loads of doubles to try & sell, also on the way is 123 issues of Beezer & topper so will only need 18 more to complete that.

Annuals rather than comics. Just bought The Dandy books 1986 and 1987 to replace the ones I lost when moving up north...

Nice one, Mr Bri - Beezer & Topper is amongst my favourite of the "combined" comics. Well, it probably IS my favourite, so much great stuff in those!

Just back off holiday in Wales.What did you buy? I hear that last remaining reader ask. Well bought a 2010 Bash Street Kids annual which I normally woudn't bother with but the Charity Shop only wanted 20p for it, therefore I had to pick it up, also spent £2 on 8 comics from a secondhand bookshop.
