Maths doesn't add up in the second panel of Harry Hill. That adds up to 90%, not 100%! Whoops!

I liked the reference in the first panel though: "It's Friday night, 5 o'clock, the weekend starts here!" - didn't LWT used to say that? Postman Prat was good as well, and were Desperate Dan and the Bash Street Teacher in the Beano thinking the same thing or what? Both stories involved hot air balloons.

Aahh! You just beat me there! I hadn't noticed the 'Ready, Steady, Go' reference in there, but had easily noticed the Crackerjack one. I'm actually too young to remember it myself, but strangely enough, had been talking about it this morning with my parents, before I went to get my Dandy.
This was the first time in a while that I have bought a Dandy and enjoyed it (I've now re-started my subscription to both this and The Beano). I liked the Harry Hill strip, which was a surprise, as last time I remember buying The dandy, I was finding most strips (including Harry) quite boring/annoying. I guess this happens as you get older, it can be hard to get used to the new stuff and try not to miss the oldies. Also like the 'What A Conundrum' and 'Postman Prat'.

Rest assured, if there had been a numeracy-related problem I'd have been on here complaining about it within five seconds! (As opposed to... er... three days. I could tell you what I've been up to but you'd all find it terribly dull.)

All my local shops don't seem to stock Dandy anymore. I asked for it, and the newsagent said something about the order gets automatically cancelled if the comic gets returned too often.

Then I asked if they had Beano, and was told that it was kept behind the counter because they didn't have room for it on the comic shelf.

Why not lash out the £ 1.50 to see that panel together with everything else in the latest Dandy?
You may be surprised to know that there is more in it than just one sum, which is apparently all James could find. And by the way, he's wrong, the sum is correct.

Advice to buy the Dandy seconded, however. There's 19 pages of comics in this week's issue - we last had that many in issue #3544, and issue #3544 was one pound more expensive! Quick, get it before half term starts...
