They both *were* celebrities from children's TV, though, Peter, while many of those who appear in The Dandy aren't so much young people's celebrities, and it may be that *they* don't relate to them (the likes of Alan Sugar, Fiona Bruce, Jeremy Clarkson, Jonathan Ross, Alan Sugar, and the various post-9pm show types like Miranda Hart.)

As recent Dandy relaunches seemed to have lasted every 3 years. Will this Dandy stand up to 2013 with or without celebs?

I wouldn't put too much faith in that article Digi. For one thing it's pulled quotes from the net, rather than interviewing anyone, and they're mistaken in saying Kid Robson was a former comic artist. He has never been a Dandy comic artist, former or otherwise. He was a letterer for IPC.

I understand the Scottish edition of The Sunday Times also ran a similar article on The Dandy this week. I haven't seen it myself but apparently I'm quoted in there, despite never having spoken to the Times or any Murdoch newspaper.

Seems they're cherry-picking quotes to suit their agenda.

Yeah...the desk bound 'content' creators at work. Apparently, they call this new breed of journalists 'olympic torches' - because they never go out.

And I guess it's traditional to recommend Nick Davies' book Flat Earth News if anybody wants to know why journalism has sank so low.

And their stupid paywall stops us from checking it on their website.

If the spokesman on the Deadline News article wasn't a DCT employee, where did the quotes come from? It could be that you and anyone else who was "quoted" when you didn't say anything, or whose quotes have been used without permission or taken out of context, could have a case to report to the Press Complaints Commission.

I didnt mind them first put i thought in the last few weeks, the cover had been cheap and tacky! This week's cover was good though.
