Well Moniaive was a roaring success as far as I am concerned unless you happen to be my bank manager.

The family haul was many and varied, so I am going to stick with the highlights.

Meltdown Man trade paperback
3 Commandos (Divided Aces, Black Ace and Green For Danger)
Another pile of Rising Stars
7 Buffy
American Freak 1 to 5
Some random Star Wars
Vamps and Vamps: Pumpkin Time
A pair of Doctor Strange issues
1983 Eagle Holiday Special
Sh*t The Dog poster issues 1 to 4
Wolf Country TPB
Samurai
War Picture Monthly 6
Wildstorm Presents #1
Two series of Shadows Fall
Rok of The Rovers
The Dredd Phenomenon: Comics and Contemporary Society by John Newsinger
Several pages of Stref's published work for The Broons
Random issue of X-Men
Two pages of John Ridgway original art

And if that was not enough, I also got sketches from Nigel Dobbyn of one of his aliens, Mark Toner's alien guide, Frank Quitely's Paw Green who is keeping company with Stref's Paw Broon.

Bought the Beano and Dandy Summer Specials, which are now out in WHSmith. Also picked up the movie Amazing Spider-Man 2 in Poundland!

Congrats on Candy #1 Adam - I don't think I've ever seen that on eBay. Felt sorry for the seller, who had 98.4% feedback because one happy customer accidentally gave them a negative.

Thanks. I noticed that on his feedback as well. I have to be honest that I'd not only never seen Candy #1 before, I'd never heard of it before! I've done a little research on it but intend to do more tonight as I'm up all night and it's now arrived.

Nice, on the lookout for those myself :)

Went to Glasgow last week and met up with a few folks from the Glasgow "scene" - Adam Smith, Rob Miller and Frank Quitely (didn't know it was Quitely until after I'd left though!). They kindly gave me a few freebies too:

-The Collected John G Miller 2000-2011
-Big Moff - Strap On Japan (ridiculously funny, kept me giggling all the way back to Liverpool)
-The John G Miller Scrapbook (amongst the most insane things I've ever read!)

Candy is a wonderful thing! A failed Gerry Anderson project and now a comics curiosity of the first order, mainly because it's one of the creepiest things ever; you wonder how they didn't notice how disturbing those puppets are! Besides the comics and annuals there were also Candy story books in the form of photo stories... as I'm a fan of fireworks my favourite is a book issued for Guy Fawkes night called "A Penny for the Guy".

Ha! They are VERY creepy! They would have given me nightmares as a kid.
