It's a good book and puts the recent Thomson official offerings to shame hopefully some more to follow using the same format

I've reviewed it on my blog to hopefully encourage more people to buy the book:

I'm pleased you've promoted it on your blog, Lew. It's a fantastic book of truly beautiful artwork which will never look better. I wish I'd been drawing comics back then, but all the comics in the book were published before I was born!

If there is to be other volumes the books would have to include the back covers as well so we can see the whole dan or dennis story.

I'd prefer to see something different if Phil does another book. A complete Jonah is long overdue. (I refuse to buy any bootleg version.)

The Jonah book with the same paper stock used in Christmas covers book = perfection I wouldn't mind seeing a Bash Street Kids one too...

I agree book 2 of Christmas covers will unlikely be produced as Phil has said several times that he prefers comics from the 60's downwards.also its too recent....also I'd prefer complete Jonah...Fireworks covers..mixed with Happy New Year if not enough...or my personal idea the poster pages of Leo baxendale..Banana Bunch..

Don't think the fireworks issues will pass the PC brigade and Phil Shrimpton will more than likely have the Christmas 1970-99 Dandy & Beano whether or not they'll be going through the DCT scanner who knows and I wouldn't mind seeing those colourful Banana Bunch pages in large format..

Wow! Finally got round to reading my copy today and it is wonderful, something that'll be on display over the christmas season. I had no idea that there were several christmas issues printed in the same year during the early years of Beano and Dandy.
Thanks Phil and congratulations! Here's hoping for future publications.

There lots of unpc stuff in the Christmas book so theres no problem for the fireworks one...Korky had an exploding pud stuffed with fireworks for example..also gun powder on another page..
A Hitler snowman...the Peanuts logo..etc..etc..

But the Hitler snowman and the black guy won't harm people physically fireworks do that's why they aren't mentioned in comics anymore maybe I should have put the health and safety people instead....
