colcool007, although now we know the titles of the above 3 comic strips, of course I can also add here the coding numbers, and I can start doing it from now on on my next uploads. The first one's is TPR 13.9.80, the second's NTY 16.2.80, and the third's one again NTY 16.2.80.

the three (and sometimes two) letter codes are D. C. Thomsons' code for the comic that it appeared in, followed by the original comics publication date.

E. G. NTY 16.2.80 means the comic first appeared in Nutty, issue dated 16/2/1980 (in this case, the first issue)

Here is a quick guide to some of the codes used:

TPR = Topper
BZR = Beezer
DAN = Dandy
BNO = Beano
SPK = Sparky
CR = Cracker
NTY = Nutty
HT = Hoot
BUZZ = Buzz (this is probably the only exception to the rule)

To add to the list you also have:

HTR = Hotspur
H-H = Hotspur and Hornet
WZD = Wizard
VTR = Victor
C = Crunch
WD = Warlord
HNT = Hornet

And just to add to the interesting points about the codes, it looks like they only appeared around 1970 as September Hornets appear to have the codes hand lettered and their appearance are spotty until October when they are featured on all pages in Hornet, but still hand lettered and are hard to spot.

Does this story ring any bells? It 's about a team that keeps losing until a mysterious Mr X promises a 100 quid bonus for every goal a player of his choice scores. The greek title is "The miraculous bonus" and it lasted 16 episodes...

Does anyone know who was the artist of the stip "Desert Island Dick" from The Topper magazine?

Also, does anyone recognise the following story? It has the format of a 2000AD comic, but can't be sure either. It's 4 pages long, and I have no idea if it was one-shot or a comic series. The greek title was "The Pirate and the Computer".

The first one is Topper favourite Desert Island Dick by George Martin. Hopefully, someone else will have the answer for the other strips.

At last one I can fully answer! It's The Pirate and the Polydroid from the 1982 2000AD annual. Steve Parkhouse's script with Ewan Smith on the art duties. This looks to be Ewan's one and only credit for 2000AD.

And it's Tom Bannister that drew Desert Island Dick, not George Martin.

Now that you are still warm, does anyone happen to know anything about the following story? The greek title was "A Crazy Story". Is the artist Baxendale? The first impression to me was that it could be a Badtime Bedtime Story, but since it's only 4 pages long that can't be the case... Here are the first 3 pages.

Definitely not Leo Baxendale. Looks like Keith Reynolds' work.

I'm back with a few more comic strips from the magazine Vavoura. Let's see if I'll be lucky with these ones...

The first one is tiltled "Stingy", but I don't believe that it's any close to the original title. I've only found it in one issue of Vavoura, so I can't be sure if it's a series or an one-shot strip.
The next one's title is more or less "Freddy with the wings of feather".
The last one is a a series of caricatures. I believe the artist is Mike Lacey. Anyone knows a title and where it was published?

The first one is Meanie McGenie from Monster Fun (1975), illustrated by Mike Lacey. It was a series.

The second is Featherweight Freddie from Buster (1979), but I don't know the artist.

The third one doesn't look like Mike Lacey's art.
