Got today as one of my birthday presents Stingray the comic anthology vol2 unfortunately I can remember these strips when first appeared in comics nearly 60 years ago I feel old now.

Bought myself a Doctor Who Magazine No.616 from May 2025 to marry up with some Lew Stringer Dalek art I recently obtained.

Just bought myself a 1949 Dandy Monster Comic book in VG+ cond. It's unclipped, all pages present, no writing, spine intact, and was owned from new.

Sourced a very nice Dandy Monster Comic book 1950 in FN- condition. And another two 1955 & 56 Dandy annuals, both in VG+ condition.

Just had delivery of a very nice snow-capped Beano comic No.390 from January 7th 1950 in FN+ condition. Also a Beano Annual from 1953 in VF condition.

Located today another 8 Dandy comics from 1949 needed to complete the run of 38. Awaiting delivery still of issue 315. Slowly but surely getting there. Anyway, featured including snow-capped issues are no's 386, 388, 419, 420, 421,422,423 ranging between VG+, FN- to VF- condition. I only need three more to complete the year.

Thanks Richard S. Yeah, I thought all my birthdays had come all at once. Didn't realise I needed those snow-capped issues? Nearly there. Another 3 issues to go before I complete year.

Just located a further three Dandy comics issue #415 , #416 and #401. Had delivery of issues #415 & 416 today. Comic #315 is dated 5th November (Fireworks issue), and #417 is from the November 12th 1949. Both are in sound order. The Fireworks issue #415 has an obvious dust shadow on the front page, but otherwise in excellent order. And issue #416 is in FN condition with a tiny dust mark on the bottom lefthand corner the only blemish. Sill awaiting delivery of #401. Will post a pic asap.

Just had delivery of another two Beano annuals from 1959 & 1960. Both are unclipped, have no writing, and are in nr mint condition.

Just sourced another two annuals. A Beano book 1961 unclipped in FN condition, and a Dandy from 1959 in VG+.

Just had delivery of a very nice Beano annual from 1954 , unclipped, in FN condition. Pretty rare to see a copy with a full spine. Also a cool Buster comic dated 24th January 1976. Just had to have it. I love the subject of ghosts being spooked on a ghost train.

Went to Kempton Park Antiques Fair today and picked up the following from one stall:

£14 the lot.

I'll be indexing these onto Grand Comics Database ASAP apart from My Favourite as those older tabloid comics have too many bits and pieces on each page.

Just sourced another Dandy comic to complete my collection of 1949 issue. Located Dandy No.417 1949 in VG+ condition. Only need one more. Pic to follow asap!
