Self-Promotion...

Yes, I realise this is a rather shameless attempt at self-promotion but I?ve just created a blog. Anyone interested can view this monstrosity at...

Back in the 80?s I created a series set in a public school for, I think it was the Victor. It was a send up of Tom Brown?s Schooldays transported to modern times. At this public school the first year boys were assigned senior boys to act as fags for them. One of the characters was the son of a rich Eskimo who lived in a freezer in the dorm. He had the running skills of Alf Tupper. However, whereas Alf ran in shorts and vests, this kid ran in full furs wearing snowshoes. Not only that, he ran backwards and yet he still managed to win every race. Then there was the history teacher based on Indiana Jones. He was responsible for the appearance of a cross-eyed Aztec God whose spells never hit their target. There was even a sexy female teacher.

The editor at the time was Peter Clark and he thought it was great. Unfortunately it was never published. I fear DCT felt it was just a bit too far fetched. Anyway, this idea was loosely based on it.

That was amusing! Reminds me of the anarchy of the St Trinians books but without the mucky bits!
I started to say something sensible but my parents took over my brain!
