Comics UK

I read recently within the pages of Comics International, (as a response to one of my letters bemoaning the lack of jumping-on material for kids between the Beano and 2000AD within the UK), that John Ridgway is planning to launch a new anthology comic (the title of which has temporarily left my brain!)sometime soon. This was a couple of months back now and I've heard nothing more. Does anybody out there know the status of this project (or are you surfing yourself John?)

Five years later...

There's a good interview with John Ridgway over at The Comics Journal where he touches on his current work, how his career has progressed to date, and his views on the state of the current UK comics market. Perhaps 'Age of Heroes' is a left-over from this seemingly abandoned anthology?
