When the rare occassion I get a holiday abroad I always check out the newsagents to see what comics are for sale and I was wondering if other comic fans do likewise.
On my last trip to Italy it didnt take long to discover that Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck were the most popular sellers.Although Disney is not my cup of tea I could see why these all colour digests were popular...good value for money and nice artwork.
Other popular comics were Popeye and the Pink Panther(again these took the format of digests).
I also came across Blondie,Beetle Bailey and reprint of Warrens Creepy.
Alas there was nothing from the Brits but Im told Andy Cappo is a popular strip.

Re: Newsagents abroad
I always do this on the rare occasions I go abroad... somewhere I have a Czech language Spider-Man reprint from the JMS/Romita Jr run from Prague... also bought an "adult humour" magazine whose name escapes me, and not speaking Czech the humour also eludes me, but I seem to recall a penchant for bare breasts.
