In these times....

Post by Serai »

Don't you guys think that in these times where people die everyday of illnesses and hunger in Africa and other places, it is truly unbelievable that those footballers receive wages up to millions for kicking a rubber ball for 90 minutes.

Post your point of view on this here.

Is there any way when joining that a simple question has to be asked? Something like in which comic does Judge Dredd/Dennis the Menace or whatever appear? (I know there are multiple answers but anyone will do)

Or perhaps, a first post must be moderated before being given free reign, so we don't have a load of 'salt or pepper' questions that are really just spam.

True, Dredd is in 2000AD and Judge Dredd Megazine, while Dennis is in The Beano and BeanoMAX. "Which comic does Desperate Dan appear in" is a better question, as Dandy is the only correct answer.

Doesn't matter if they say Desperate Dan was in the Beano. That still shows some interest in Brit comics. They might just be fans of 2000AD and the Mighty World of Marvel and know very little of British humour, so having two correct answers isn't important. But it does sort out the comic fans from the spammers, who, in my opinion, don't bother to look even internet search for an answer. In my groups, all I ask is why they want to join. Spammer only ever say 'hello' or a random collection of letters and numbers.

It's not a quiz. Just to sort out the spammers from those with an interest in UK comics.

but Dan has been in the Beano... better question might be "In which comic did Sid's Snake first appear?" ;)

Only in guest appearances. Like the time he crossed the Atlantic and the comic divide and sleepwalked right into Dennis's house!
