BeanoMAX meets Little Britain

It was indeed, and so was issue 25. And I think issues 13 and 37 supported Sport Relief.

The MAX itself is still its regular 44-page size, but there's also a 64 page Comic Relief minimag too.

Ah, I hadn't seen it in the shops yet, only glanced at the website description and noticed "64-pages" on it... oops.

I got BeanoMAX bought for me (mistaken identity, didn't have the heart to tell them it was the wrong Beano) and while the mag itself it doesn't have many strips in it the mini-comic is chockablock with them. After flicking through it it seems that the strips are from recent specials or annuals since they're all several pages long.

These mini-mags the comics give away are always reprints. They've done one containing old annual stories in the past, and another which contained Beano Superstars stories. Dandy Xtreme once did one featuring over a year's worth of Jamie Smart's Desperate Dan.
