John Blake is being made into a film! :D

Any readers of the DFC may remember Philip Pullman's popular DFC adventure series, John Blake (illustrated by John Aggs). In a recent interview with Philip Pullman on the Phoenix Comic's blog, Philip has told us the news that John Blake is going to be made into a film! A very exciting piece of news!

"Of the things I’ve enjoyed most as a writer was creating the story of JOHN BLAKE for the much mourned DFC. I hope John Blake is going to be a film in the not too distant future."

I loved John Blake and was upset to see its first series come to an end although I heard it returned a few issues later (after Robot Girl's first series ended I presume?), I wouldn't know this as I only have Issues 1-8 after Will Flicking kindly sent them to me for free to get inspirations from.

I hope the film goes to plan and I can't wait to see it in cinemas!

It doesnt really explicitly state they are making it into a film just that they want to.

Wayne'll be drawing a few Blong and Zappy stories for us.
Also I've hired 3 more artists, I'd love to get a few interested on this forum though.
