Articles on Brit Comics Wanted, + peer reviewers!

In case anyone didn't know, I'm working on Volume 2 of Solar Wind (the comic about british comics), and I want to have a few articles/features in on british comics. I'm looking for knowledgeable types generally. Those who can turn out a top article, and those who would like to 'peer review' articles. That would just mean verifying comic facts, pointing out errors and suggesting anything we may have missed out.

If you can help, please get in touch. I can suggest topics or confirm whether a topic would be one we would be interested in.

I'm provisionally interested in articles on british comics, themes in strips and characters, artists, behind the scenes information on publishers and the people who worked on them. The can be serious or fun.

No payment, it's just a fanzine (albeit an award winning one), but you would get a comp copy and retain copyright.

Yell for more details, I'd like to provide a fresh look at old comics for old and new readers. There are a lot of changes due on the comic, and we hope to make it rather special.

All the best

Paul

Paul, sent you a private message on this, don't know whether you've picked this up as there have been some problems with the PM function (according to the 'Bugs & Problems' board)

Paul,

please let me know if you did get Richard's PM. Just in case there is a PM problem.

I seem to be receiving my ones ok (I think :? ).

No, sorry Richard, didn't get your PM, I would have responded otherwise!

You can catch me at paulvonscott AT yahoo.co.uk

Sorry Al! :p

Just to reiterate, I'm after 1 or 2 page articles, or interviews, about british comics, past and present. I have plenty of ideas, open to other peoples ideas, but want to keep away from writing articles myself.

I'd be quite keen to maybe do something like Al's family tree (if he didn't mind) but perhaps doing it in the same style as those rock trees you used to get. I'm sure the font was free somewhere!

Cheers

Paul

Just to say that I have been a bit distracted of late, but will be contacting anyone who showed an interest! Sorry for the delay, all sorts of things have been happening, but as I said, just a distraction, not a diversion.

Cheers
