Edit: And they're really funny! Well worth a watch...not the car crash I expected given the lack of an official release and scarcity online. Maybe it's just a rights issue as these really should be available commercially.
On a related note - for me, I still think Dennis' dad was funnier as a moustachioed martinet, but I admit that may be down to age and nostalgia.

Yes they did. The Children's Channel was owned by Starstream, a consortium comprising DC Thomson, BT, Thorn EMI, and Thames Television. Central Television also later acquired a stake. In 1995 Flextech bought Starstream, and three years later TCC closed without warning.

I've just noticed- the copyright date at the end says "DC Thompson!"
But apart from that, I quite like this series. Definitely the closest to the comic strips out of all four of the TV series, and it's quite funny as well. A bit of a shame it's so obscure, but it's good that these episodes have finally seen the light of day after so long!
